Location:
Located in north-central Oregon, Gilliam County features a diverse range of landscapes. The Columbia River forms the northern border with the community of Arlington being located at the junction of Interstate 84 and Oregon State Highway 19, which flows south. From there the terrain climbs from the nearly sea-level river bluffs to the nearly 3,500 foot Columbia Plateau, before transitioning into the Blue Mountains along the County’s southern border. The rugged landscape provides over 1,200 square miles of rolling hills and open vistas perfect for the expanding commercial wind industry.
